MLSM - FORCELine

Wiesel FORCELine offers new possibilities for the Wiesel family. The ball screw version the MLSM offers a large ball screw as well as heavy duty linear guides in a compact package. The guides are the same type used in the POWERLine actuators, but they are moved farther apart and positioned at a 45° angle to reduce the overall height. The shape of the profile and spacing of the guide ways give higher moment ratings around the axis of motion. The wide profile also provides a very stiff foundation for cantilevered systems.

The FORCELine retains the successful cover-strip system used in the Wiesel family for many years as well as the centralized lubrication point for ease of maintenance. The MLSM uses the next generation of the patented NEFF screw support system. This system allows screw speeds of 3000 RPM regardless of actuator length. The FORCELine is available with a stroke of up to 5500 mm (18 ft). With the highest lead screw top speeds of 2.5 m/s (100 inches/sec) can still be achieved even at these lengths.

The FORCELine now offers more mounting options. The familiar KAO dovetail mounting brackets are still available, but now direct mounting to the profile can be achieved. Every 100 mm along the profile are two mounting holes. These holes are tapped M8 or alternatively an M6 bolt can be mounted downward into a tapped mounting surface. The surface of the unit's power bridge (carriage) also has T-slots on similar spacing allowing easy X-Y assembly of gantry or Cartesian systems.
