Mechanical Linear Drives Ballscrew Assemblies
POWERLine
Utilizing patented screw support technology the POWERLine can reach linear speeds over long distances never before thought possible with a ball screw. POWERLine units can reach speeds of 2.5 m/s (100 inches/sec) over distances of up to 18ft and with a repeatibility of ± 10 microns (0.0004")! In the past this rate of travel would require a less accurate belt drive or a more expensive linear motor.
In addition to the screw supports there are other unique features to the POWERLine. One is the patented cover strip system. This system allows the POWERLine to operate in dirty environments while keeping the ball screw and guide system fully protected. Another unique feature is the NEFF designed guide system. This guide system is integrated into the aluminum profile using hardened raceway inserts and optimized ball return paths. This guide system as well as the two pre-loaded ball nuts are lubricated via a centralize grease fitting. This makes maintenance of the unit simple.
